Anatomy Essentials

Resources used: The paper version of these books is preferred. Books are optional for yoga school students, required for teacher training.

Course format:
Daily the classes will follow this format: 

  • One hour of asana. 
  • One hour of anatomy. 
  • One hour of alignment.

What you will learn: 

  • Muscles and movements of the upper leg 
  • Muscles and movements of the lower leg 
  • How leg muscles work together to control/protect the knee and ankle 
  • Alignment in leg dominate poses

Example Asanas: 

  • Warrior I, II, & III 
  • Pyramid 
  • Triangle 
  • Revolved Triangle
