Important Info about our intro offer

  • Any students that are new to JOURNEYoga are eligible for this offer.
  • Our intro month does not need to be your first purchase, but you may only purchase it once.
  • Your month begins when you sign up for your first class.
  • Once your month begins we do not pause or grant extensions to your intro month.

The Fine Print

  • There is an online contract that you will need to agree to.
  • There is a minimum commitment of three payments.
  • If you choose to pay by cash or check the first three payments must be paid in advance.
  • After three payments you can cancel at anytime.
  • You're guaranteed our current Monthly Unlimited price for a year
  • Freezes must be for at least one week and are available up to three times a year.
  • Seniors (age 62 and up), Penrose Square Apartment residents, and public school teachers are eligible for a discount. Discounted Monthly Unlimited is not available for purchase online. Contact info@journeyoga.com or stop by the studio to sign up for discounted Monthly Unlimited.

Master Classes

Master Class pricing will depend on the offering. The teacher, the content, and the length will all factor into this pricing. As a guideline, most master classes are priced between $30 and $40.


Workshops

Workshop pricing will depend on the offering. The teacher, the content, and the length will all factor into this pricing. As a guideline, most workshops are priced between $40 and $80.

Your First Visit

Choose a class to start with

We have a variety of class types, classes, and teachers. Each one combines to create a different offering. Get to know our class types to help choose a class that'll start your journey off right.

Sign up online

We recommend singing up online to secure your spot for your first class.

Get ready

Dress in comfortable clothes that you can move around in. Bring a yoga mat if you have one, or use one of our free loaner mats. Don't come to class hungry, but don't eat a big meal before class either.

Arrive Early and check-in at the Front Desk

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your first class. Our classes start on time and late arrivals will not be admitted. You will also need to complete a liability waiver before attending your first class.

Listen To Your Body

Your safety and well-being are important. Take whatever breaks you need. Share any injuries or concerns with your teacher and they'll do their best to offer alternatives.

Before, during or after class we welcome all of your questions!

Don’t stress your first few classes

Yoga is supposed to feel good! It often takes a few classes to be comfortable with the space, the vocabulary, and the process. Try different teachers and classes in order to find which combination best fits your personality and needs.

We hope you love your first class, but you may not find the best fit for your needs on your first visit.Everybody here is happy to talk with you and answer any questions you have so let us know!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What's my first class going to be like?
That will depend on the class and the teacher. As long as you're open to try something new, are willing to fake it till you make it, and don't push yourself too hard too fast, we think you're going to have a great time.

Do you provide yoga mats?
We have yoga mats available free of charge. All we ask is that you wipe down your mat with the provided spray and towels after you're done.

What should I wear?
Dress modestly in comfortable clothing. Pants or shorts need to have an inseam and your torso needs to be covered with a shirt/tank top.

I have an injury that I'm worried about. What should I do?
Share your concerns with your teachers. They will suggest modifications to the poses they're teaching in order to prevent further injuries. Check out our contact info below to get in touch with any questions you may have.

What if I can't do a pose?
Our teachers will often provide modifications that increase the level of challenge as a class progresses. You only have to go as far as you feel comfortable. Child's pose is always an option to catch your breath and definitely don't do anything that creates a stabbing, shooting or searing pain.

Should I register online, or can I drop-in?
You can always try and drop in at the studio, but we recommend signing up online to reserve your spot. 

Can I arrive late or leave early?
No. Once the curtain is closed we do not accommodate late arrivals and you're expected to stay through the end of class.

Which class should I start with?
We believe the beginning of your JOURNEY will have moments where you'll need to "fake it till you make it." Try one of our suggestions or choose a class that appeals to you. All we ask is that you listen to your body and avoid stabbing, shooting, or searing pain.

If you are new to Yoga, start with one of the following classes:

Yoga Zero: Yoga basics defined and/or refined

Yoga: Basic yoga poses in a vinyasa flow

Yoga and Meditation: A slow class with emphasis on the benefits of meditation

Flexibility Focus: An hour focused on increasing your flexibility. This class doesn't flow like a yoga class, but it is informed by yoga.  Great for athletes who are looking to stretch as well as desk sitters looking to move!

Core Focus: Often called “Hard Core, Yoga Lite.” No yoga experience required and this strengthens your body making traditional yoga easier.

Visiting the Studio

We love speaking to you in-person, but we aren't always at the studio. Email us to set up an in-person meeting.

Come on by while classes are in session (Monday–Thursday in the evening, Saturday morning, or Sunday morning) to speak with somebody at the Front Desk.

 

Calling Us

We do not recommend calling JOURNEYoga with a time sensitive questions. All calls go directly to voicemail to prevent disruptions to our classes. We check the voicemail, but only once a week.

When In Doubt…

The bottom line is that we want you to take class. We can handle almost anything at the studio, so when in doubt come on down. We can resolve sign up or payment issues later.

 

 

Mobile Apps

Do you find the process of singing up for classes on your phone frustrating? We do too! Fortunately, there are alternatives.

Our online scheduling is through Mindbody, and they have an app called Mindbody Connect, which makes it easier to manage your schedule from a mobile device.
