JOURNEYoga is about teaching, learning and community. It's a place where challenge, peace and well-being are always possible. It's a place where we want to know your name.

We're made up of teachers with various styles and backgrounds which manifest in a variety of classes. We provide the options and you choose the classes you want from day to day.

Your health and safety is very important. We understand that every body is different and we love to teach you modifications that allow you to have a successful practice.

We love what we do, but we don’t take ourselves very seriously. Laughing is encouraged and smiling is standard.

JOURNEYoga has been teaching yoga on Columbia Pike since 2007. We've grown from a one-room studio to our current two-room location.

We’re here to teach you. Education is the driving force behind our classes, workshops, and teacher trainings. Spend some time with us and you’ll be amazed at what you learn about yoga, your body, and yourself.


We laugh out loud and smile often. Modern yoga allows us to play while the traditions of yoga teach us to foster joy within ourselves and with those around us.


Yoga is about feeling great! All students are welcome to join us to start or continue their journey to well-being. The more you come and play the better you'll feel!

Our Class Types

The practice of yoga brings unity and balance to an individual. Most of our classes are suitable for any student and you can filter by these class types when viewing the online schedule. Our classes are grouped by class type to help you navigate the schedule.

We offer Movement Focus, Stillness Focus, and Skills Focus class types that are appropriate for most students.

For experienced students we offer Movement Challenge classes in addition to the Movement Focus, Stillness Focus, and Skills Focus class types.

For pregnant students we offer Prenatal Yoga classes.

Class Types Appropriate For Most Students

Movement Focus

Focus on physical postures that develop strength, flexibility, and focus. Classes will end on a note of relaxation.

Stillness Focus

Still the mind and/or calm the body. Many of these classes will include meditation.

Skills Focus

Learn the basics or sharpen your skills for greater ease in any yoga practice.

Class Types Appropriate For Experienced Students

Movement Challenge

Expand your practice with additional asanas and varying speeds of flow.

Appropriate for students with prior yoga experience.

Prenatal Yoga

Strengthen your body for pregnancy and prepare yourself for childbirth.

For all stages of pregnancy and the only option if you're pregnant.
